മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ പൌരുഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമായിരുന്ന ജയന്, കോളിളക്കം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച് കടന്നു പോയിട്ട് 29 വര്ഷം തികയുന്നു. 1980 നവംബര് 16 ന് 'കോളിളക്കം' എന്ന സിനിമയുടെ ഷൂട്ടിംഗിനിടെ ഉണ്ടായ ഹെലികോപ്റ്റര് അപകടത്തി ലായിരുന്നു ജയന്റെ അന്ത്യം.
